1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Add 10 inch cast skillet to oven to preheat. Add cornbread mix to a bowl and set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 eggs, Buttermilk and Half stick of unsalted or sweet butter. * Not needed, but i like to add butter to my batter to give it a more buttery flavor* Next mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients.
2. Using an oven mit remove skillet from oven and add 1/2 stick of butter. Its very important to coat the pan with butter. Next you will need to pour batter inot hot skillet. Add\ skillet back to the oven and back for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
